1. Maryland Integrated Science Assessment
Science MCAP Testing will continue for our 8th grade students this week.
2. Soccer Tryouts
On Tuesday, our boys and girls soccer teams will be having soccer tryouts afterschool. Students must register for tryouts via Synergy by Sunday evening.
3. Upcoming State Assessments in April
Please read a message from Ms. Tallapragada that shares information about the MCAP English and Math tests that will begin in April.

1. 7th Grade Finance Park Trip
Attention 7th grade families! Permission slips for the annual Finance Park Field Trip were distributed last week. Permission slips are due by Friday, March 21. Students will be attending the field trip either on March 24, 25, or 26.

2. 2025 Sustainability Poster Contest
All MCPS students and staff members are invited to participate in the Division of Sustainability and Compliance's (DSC) 2025 Sustainability Poster Contest. The contest seeks to increase awareness and demonstrate the importance of environmental sustainability, energy conservation, waste reduction, and responsible recycling.
All art must be a student or staff member's original work and not contain copyrighted elements. Posters should be no smaller than 8.5 inches by 11 inches and must not exceed 18 inches by 24 inches in size.
Please submit posters to DSC, 45 W. Gude Drive, Suite 4000, Rockville, by Friday, April 4, 2025. For more information, email or call 240-740-3210.

4. AAPI Mental Health Education Training
AALEad is hosting a Mental Health Education training for youth and their families, geared towards the AAPI community in Montgomery County, at Newport Mill Middle School. Registration is now live (click here to register) with limited seats and age-appropriate content by mental health professionals from diverse AAPI backgrounds to accommodate both youth and parents/caregivers.
