Windom ECFE
Spring 2025 Newsletter
How can you participate in ECFE?
There are many ways to participate in ECFE. We try to offer many options to accommodate today’s busy lives. Families may participate in classes, special events, or both. We offer three sessions of classes each year. Each session has a separate sign-up, so you don’t have to commit to a whole year. We would love to have you come check out our program!
Our goals are to:
* Support parents in their efforts in raising children.
* Offer child development information and alternative parenting techniques.
* Help create effective communication between parents and their children.
* Supplement the discovery & learning experiences of children.
* Promote positive parental attitudes.
* Meet other parents and children.
* Have fun!
We are located in the Highland Early Learning Center. It is located at 68 10th Street, Windom. Use the front door located on the south side of the building when coming for a class or special event.

What’s Next?
We typically take the summer off from classes and special events. However, we sometimes get involved with some of the many community events that happen throughout the summer. Watch our Facebook page for opportunities to connect with us throughout the summer. In the meantime, please remember that the playground here at the Highland Early Learning Center is open to the public. So stop by this spring and summer and have some fun!
We will be back next fall with more classes and special events! Look for our fall newsletter to come out in late August.
Have a fun and safe summer!

We Need Your Help!
One of the greatest challenges in ECFE is keeping the preschool census up to date. The need for this census is to determine state funding for ECFE, School Readiness, and Early Childhood Screening. If you, or someone you know, has recently moved to Windom or if you have had a new addition to your family, we need to get you on our census. Please email your information to Heather Van Dyke at hvandyke@isd177.com.
We appreciate your help!
