What is the Coyle House System?
Purpose
The purpose of the Coyle Elementary House System is to promote a positive and welcoming environment in which students, staff and community members feel a strong sense of belonging. This supports the Coyle mission meeting diverse needs of all students by creating a true community in which all students and staff belong.
The Houses meet every Friday morning.
Every Coyle Student and staff member is placed in one of the following Houses. Students are in the same House they have been in pervious years. If you are new student to Coyle or you do not remember your House, parents/guardians will get their student House assignments at Back to School Night and it will be announced again at the September 6th kickoff meeting.
We will be selling House Gear starting this Wednesday both online and paper order forms. Pick up the information at Back to School night and in our next newsletter.

Art Docent Program
Parents/Guardians, are you interested in running a new Art Docent Program at Coyle?
Coyle has the opportunity to have the Art Docent program this year and we need your help for this to happen!
The Art Docent Program is a parent volunteer led art curriculum grades TK-6. Each lesson includes a 15-20 minute art history lesson, learning about important works of art and a 40 minute art project. There are enough lessons for one class per month in each classroom.
To run the program, we will need to have at least one parent who is interested in organizing the program. They would help the teachers to recruit other parent volunteers to teach the lessons in each classroom. This is a parent led program going into the classrooms to teach the lessons each month.
If you are interested in being the lead for this program, please see reply to this email or contact the front office taryn.dyke@sanjuan.edu or 916-979-8012. Thank you!
