William Gay ECC

Happy Monday to everyone! We hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful November day! Everyone at William Gay ECC is certainly thankful for all of our wonderful students and the families that share them with us. We appreciate your support and how well everyone is doing with helping with homework daily, cooperating with the carline, getting your children to school on time, and making sure that they are rested and ready to learn!! Our attendance percentage is 94.84%....this is pretty good!!

Be sure to send coats with your child's name marked in them so we can go outside during chilly weather. We also need you to call us if your child cannot be at school due to seeing the doctor because they are sick. It helps Ms. Tierra a lot if she doesn't have to call and she will be calling if your child isn't here! Don't forget to bring doctor's notes!

We appreciate that everyone is using the carline and not walking up to get your child. This is a safety issue and we thank you for helping us out with this issue! If you are late, walk your child inside. DO NOT allow them to walk in alone. This is not safe!!

We also appreciate everyone keeping their language appropriate for children to hear. We have children that are repeating inappropriate words they hear at home and it is carrying over to our classrooms. Just be mindful that what Kindergarteners hear...they repeat! lol

We have several students that have not displayed appropriate behavior at school. These students will not be going on the field trip to the movies on Friday. You will be informed if your child is not going. Fortunately, most of our students will be there enjoying the movie. No parents are allowed due to space. We will be watching Frozen II. We will have more field trips in the future...we are trying to teach our children that making good choices means they get rewarded. Poor choices will never be a good idea!

Don't forget to send $1.00 to wear pajamas on Friday, November 22nd. Pajama day is always the best!!

Don't forget to send change for our coin drive to help Shared Blessings. Shared Blessings helps all of our schools and students weekly. We would love to show them our appreciation and give them financial support so they can continue their good work!!!
