Jacinta Williams' Journey from Nursing Assistant to Human Resources Professional
"SCC helped me start a career in Healthcare. I worked in this field for 12 years. Then, SCC enabled me to build a foundation for getting my bachelor's degree, which paved the way for working in a non-profit organization," shared Jacinta Williams. Her experience at SCC set the stage for Jacinta's current position in Human Resources with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. Read More.
SCC: The First Step Toward a Career in Nutrition for Clinton Stevens
"I began my nutrition career at SCC. The staff played a pivotal role in not only motivating me to pursue a career in nutrition, but also to become engaged in campus initiatives," recalls Clinton Stevens, MS, RDN. He joined the Honors program, took on leadership roles, and worked past his fear of public speaking through club activities and unique presentation opportunities at events like the World Hunger Breakfast. Celebrate Black History Month at SCC
Black History Month, an annual observance in February, honors the achievements, contributions, and history of African Americans. SCC celebrates Black History Month by providing students with an opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage with this important history through events, discussions, and programs that highlight the impact of African American culture, history, and achievements. Coming to SCC: Bachelor of Business Administration – Management
SCC will offer the Bachelor of Business Administration – Management, starting in the Fall 2025 semester. Students will be able to invest in their future while paying one-quarter of the tuition cost of a traditional four-year state university. The College is offering free information sessions. Read More.

Tax season is here, and SCC offers the community free, basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing. Eligible participants include those with annual income less than $67,000, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.
