Dear South Parents and Guardians:
On April 4th at our end of Third Quarter Assembly, we celebrated our students achievements throughout the quarter. This included both boys' and girl's basketball teams, South wrestlers, artists and the jazz band, as well, as the students who were chosen by their team of teachers for the C.A.R.D.S award.
The CARDS students demonstrated Character, Achievement, Respect, Dedication and Serving throughout the quarter. Parents, students and staff gathered to congratulate these students for our C.A.R.D.S. wall signing last Friday. Please see below for the photos of this event.
This is a reminder, as you drop off or pick up your child, please do not use the North Parking lot or the bus circle. This area is for staff parking and buses only. Also, please pull all the way forward as you enter the front circle drive so more cars can pull in to drop off/pick up their children. This will make the transition much quicker in the morning. If your child rides their bike ot school, remind them to lock their bike to the bike racks.
As we head into the fourth quarter, it is important to have a conversation with your child about finishing the rest of the school year strong and in a positive manner. As the weather begins to change and students want to spend more time outdoors, please make sure you schedule time—each afternoon—for your child to complete their homework assignments and check their grades in PowerSchool. Students become excited with the warm weather, and the end of the school year. Please remind your child the importance of following the Cardinal Way of Be Ready, Be Safe and Be Mindful, to finish out the school year.
With the weather changing, please remind your child to follow the South School dress procedures that are posted in all of our students assignment notebooks. Students chest and back ends should not be visible. We appreciate your support!
Have a great week!

Passover (Begins April 12*)
Passover, also called Pesach, is a major Jewish holiday that celebrates freedom and justice. Passover is celebrated with two traditional meals called seders, on the first two nights of the holiday. Seder translates to "order" in Hebrew, because there is a ritual order of the prayers read and the foods eaten.
