Reminder: New websites coming Monday!
We are excited that Monday morning, we will launch brand-new and improved school and district websites! This upgrade is part of our ongoing commitment to enhance communication, streamline access to important information, and provide a better user experience for all.
What to expect:
New look and feel: Our updated websites will feature a simple design, improved navigation, and enhanced functionality. We built the site using staff and family feedback, in part from the hundreds of responses from our annual Community Survey in March.
Learning curve: As with any new system, there may be a short adjustment period. We encourage you to explore the new site and familiarize yourself with its features.
Family newsletters: You might notice that our weekly family newsletters have a slightly different appearance during this transition while we implement our new communication systems.
We appreciate your patience:
Bug fixes: As we transition to the new website, we anticipate there may be a few bugs to iron out — such as a broken link here and there. Our team will work quickly to address any issues that may arise.
Still learning: Please bear with us as our staff becomes familiar with how best to fill out our new website with all the upcoming news and events.
Feedback: Your feedback is invaluable to us! If you encounter any problems or have suggestions for improvements, please let us know by emailing scsdinfo@stanwood.wednet.edu or — starting Monday after the new site goes live — by completing a form on our Communications Department webpage.
What’s next?
Please note that there may be a disruption in access to our district and school sites Monday morning as the new sites go live.
Coming in the next few weeks will be new weekly newsletters that align more closely with the information and resources on our new websites.
Later this school year, you’ll be able to download the Stanwood-Camano School District app, which will allow users to get push notifications or a wide variety of alerts
Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we make this exciting transition to bundle our communication services, allowing the district to consolidate needed features and save money.
We are confident that the new website will serve as a valuable resource and enhance our communication with you.

Apply for Free and Reduced meals today
While our school campus is one that has qualified for free meals to all students in the 2024-25 school year, this qualification is reassessed each year based on Free and Reduced-Price Meal applications.
In order for the free meals to continue next year, we request families complete our Free or Reduced-Price Meals application because it will determine if this benefit continues in future years as well as other federal and state funding for the district. It also unlocks student and family benefits in the district and community, such as lower utility bills.
If you haven’t yet completed a Free or Reduced Meal application, now’s the perfect time to do so! Completing the application takes less than 10 minutes, and you only need to complete one meal application per family.
Don't know if you'd qualify? Take our easy online quiz to help determine your eligibility!
To get started, download and complete the application form linked at the bottom of this email or simply complete it online through your SKYWARD Family Access account.
Family Access
Family Access is available to all parents within our district. There is no registration process to go through. To obtain your login and password, please call Kjersti Sundberg at (360) 629-1340.
With this up-to-the-minute information, you can be a more proactive member of your child's educational team. If you have a question or need an answer prior to parent-teacher conferences, staff email addresses are provided through our website for your convenience. If you don't have access to a computer, please contact the high school so arrangements can be made for you to get access.
Family access is located at: https://lhh.stanwood.wednet.edu/
This will bring you to Lincoln Hill High School’s main web page. From there you need to click on the Skyward Family Access link located in the blue circle (see picture in top right corner). A new page will pop up asking you for your login and password. Login and password are not case-sensitive. Once you are logged in you can personalize your password if you would like to.
We welcome you to Family Access and hope you will find this electronic "tool" an important part of your ongoing relationship with the Stanwood-Camano School District.
If you have any problems accessing the site, or have any questions, please call Kjersti Sundberg at the above number or email her at ksundberg@stanwood.wednet.edu.
Release of student records
Each year, federal law allows our families the opportunity to opt-out of disclosing some information to outside organizations by completing a simple form.
Families can opt out of having their student’s information — such as name, photo, and grade — used in school directory information, such as the yearbook, sports rosters, and other school materials.
Families of high school students can also choose for the district to not release their student’s information to military recruiters or institutions of higher learning, such as colleges.
In order to take effect for this school year, the form will need to be completed and returned to the student’s school office by Oct. 1, 2024.
