TRI-DISTRICT ARTS CONSORTIUM SUMMER PROGRAM
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2025 Tri-District Arts Consortium Summer Program. Middle school students who attend the public schools of Lexington One, Lexington-Richland Five and Richland Two are eligible to participate. This year Tri-DAC celebrates its 40th anniversary of providing students an outstanding and concentrated study in the arts.

The program is designed for artistically gifted and talented students who are rising sixth through ninth graders in the summer before the 2025-2026 school year. Students may audition in creative writing, dance, music (strings, vocal and wind/percussion), theatre or visual art.
The Summer Program will be held by the Palmetto Center for the Arts on the campus of Richland Northeast High School in Richland District Two June 9 through June 27, 2025 from 9:00 am until 3:15 pm each day, Monday through Friday. The cost for the three weeks is $475.00.
Arts teachers, classroom teachers, administrators and parents may nominate students. Nomination forms for all art areas, along with general information about the Tri-District Arts Consortium are available online in each school district and on the Tri-DAC website at tridac.org.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, December 6, 2024. Applications will be sent to each student nominated. Spaces for qualified students from each district are limited.
Auditions for Strings, Visual Art and Vocal students will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Richland Northeast High School. Auditions for the areas of Band, Creative Writing, Dance, Theatre and Visual Art students will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Richland Northeast High School. There will be no make-up auditions.
SC STATE FAIR WINNERS
Congratulations to Kiera C.! She won 2nd place for grape jelly canning, 1st place for youth (ages 5-11) canning pickled product and 2nd place for youth (ages 5-11) hand built pottery. Her sister (a student at H.E. Corley) also won several ribbons.
Congratulations to Mrs. Klemz! She won first place ribbons for her Chocolate Chip Cookies and Creme de Menthe Brownies. Way to go!
NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH WEEK
Students and staff are invited to dress like a pirate on Friday, October 25th to celebrate National School Lunch Week (October 21st-25th). If your student eats a school lunch Monday through Thursday next week, they will be entered in a drawing on Friday for some pirate treasure giveaways.

It's FREE for students and their families but you MUST register to attend.
An adult (18 and older) MUST ACCOMPANY your goblin or ghoul for the entire event.
