Good news - we have a few breaks built in each month of this semester including Jan 20 - make sure you have your trade day credit. Other breaks - Feb 17, Spring Break, Good Friday, and then MAY!

Some ways to help your students show citizenship:

1. Follow and respect the rules/social contracts of the school and community.
2. Do your part in taking care of the environment.
3. Volunteer.
4. Respect friends, neighbors, family, etc.
5. Help people in need.

1-5th grade: please let Diana know by January 31st if you would like to nominate a student for the gifted and talented screening. Be mindful of the characteristics of gifted students. FEB 12: Grades 1, 4, 5 after lunch

FEB 13: Grades K, 2, 3 after lunch

Something new and exciting is coming to Goliad. Level Up Party will take place January 17th - this is a READING PROGRESS INCENTIVE. It is not based on AR any longer; it is based on grade level criteria established at a PLC meeting with Ashley e.g., advanced 2 levels in guided reading and completed required homework reading, etc. More info to come at PLC!

Scholastic Collaboration Event

We are excited to announce Goliad will be hosting a make and take. Austin Elementary will also be invited to attend (Molly’s other campus). Molly will be here on Jan. 29th to help facilitate. This is a come and go event. Come grab some goodies and leave when you wish. We will have game boards, stations activities, picture cards, and more. Everything will be from either Fountas and Pinnell or Jan Richardson’s The Next Step Forward in Word Study and Phonics. We look forward to seeing you!

Kinder and 1st grade Dyslexia on Demand Istation testing window will be Jan. 13th-17th. This test is slightly different then the Istation test they just took so yes they must take it. All Kinder and 1st grade students must complete Istation On Demand Testing that the district is pushing out. If you have questions or concerns please ask Ashley.
