We are almost at the finish line! Our students are well prepared and confident going into next week. They have worked so hard to train and show their growth over one years time.

Let's give it up one more time for our assistant principal, Mrs. Jennifer Schneider for all she does! She works tirelessly to bolster teachers, motivate students, create a positive learning community, and face the many unpredictable challenges that land on her desk.

National School Librarian Day was observed internationally on April 4. We are so thankful to have Mrs. Simmons for all that she does for our school. She does so much more than keep our library stocked and in perfect order, she creates a culture of reading and supports our school in insurmountable ways!

Forever thankful for these ladies and their dedication to our students. They are always willing to step in, lend a helping hand, cover, make copies, take care of our little ones, and show everyone support.

Teacher of the Year, Ms. Lavat and Teacher of Promise, Ms. Dang were celebrated and recognized at a special dinner and fun evening hosted by Dallas ISD.

Thank you NJHS for sponsoring the Primary Egg Hunt. The families had a wonderful time seeing their children running around and having a great time!!!!

These Dragons kept their cool, their kindness, their sense of humor and perspective even while they were surely feeling disappointed by the fact that our bus did not arrive in time to get us to the competition today at the Meyerson.

We still got to hear great music performed live by Booker T. Washington students in this great concert hall, and the students were recognized with medals and a trophy. Dr Matthew Micheal Edwards told them he was very proud of their great attitudes and months of hard work to learn the 16 musical selections on the Music Memory list.

Mahmut, Laura, Varun, Ben, and Isabella are still winners!

So excited to see former students coming back and volunteering on our campus. Every Monday & Wednesday afternoon, these young men are available to help. Please let Ms. Johnson know if you wish to have them in your classroom. They are getting for graduation and headed to college soon! We wish them luck in the future!

Thank you for always opening your classrooms to our guests. They gained so much insight and appreciation for Montessori as they observed our students.

Ms. Beatris Mata could not get over how great it felt to walk the halls of Dealey again. Ms. Mata was formally a lower elementary teacher at Dealey before moving back to Odessa. She is now the Director of Early Learning for Odessa ISD. She brought her team on a tour of our campus and they absolutely could not stop saying "wow" at all the wonderful things they saw in action. So proud to see Ms. Mata's growth over the years!

Ms. Thompson is sharing her knowledge on how to properly fold, unfold, raise, and lower the flag. She also shares with students why we must respect it at all times. This will preserve our flags longer and show citizenship values to our students.

Thank you to Coach Connaughton, Coach Elliott, Sonya Hebert, and Suzie Tsai for a fun filled day in the sun! Our students, staff and families enjoyed every moment of the day because of your hard work and commitment towards Field Day! Every laugh, smile, win, and friendly competition is all thanks to you!

Our Green and Clean team did a fabulous job teaching and encouraging everyone on our campus to take care of our one and only Mother Earth.

So proud of the 7th grade cast and crew of Brothers Grimm. They had the audience laughing throughout the night with the hilarious fairy tails.

This week we had over 85 guest tour the campus. Our NJHS members toured our guests and showed of our incredible Dealey culture. We are especially proud to announce that our Orchestra played for the conference on Friday, Ms. Stubbs and Ms. Akinyemi provided a session at the conference, and our choir hosted a mini concert for them in the library. We received many compliments for the caliber of instruction and our students focus and overall engagement.

Our Math looks AMAZING!!!!! Our Reading will also look great after STAAR. Thank you for the hard work and dedication you have with our students. They are showing great strides and growth because of you at home and school!

The registration for the 2023-24 school year officially begins on April 1, 2023. Parents of new and returning students are required to complete registration in the district’s online enrollment system, SchoolMint. Students will not be enrolled at Dealey if registration is not done.

The following information is needed when registering

New students to DISD need must turn in the following birth certificate, SS, Immunizations, proof of residency and parent ID or DL all that should be uploaded so we can approve the registration.

Returning students if registration is done and your old school comes up let Ms. Villegas know so she can change the location to Dealey.

We have extended the sign-up deadline for Career Day until Friday, May 5th. Attached is the updated flyer. At this time, we only have 10 participants.

Our customer care team is set up to assist parents with missing photos and ordering issues. The information I can provide regarding orders is limited, and customer service is dedicated to providing that information and researching payments made by cash, card, and check. The Health & Physical Education Department is excited to invite Dallas families to participate in the upcoming Family Fit Fest event, formerly known as Get Kids Fit Fest. Hosted by the Community Council of Greater Dallas, this FREE community expo offers fun for all ages, with a focus on improving overall health and wellness.

This event is designed to enhance and improve the quality of life for North Texas families, with over 3,000 attendees expected to participate. The first 500 attendees will receive a FREE T-SHIRT and SWAG BAG, and the first 1000 attendees will receive a Box of Food courtesy of the North Texas Food Bank.
