Testing - AICE General Paper and AP US History
AICE General Paper Students in Mrs. Wilson's class
Dates: April 25 and May 1
Location: Multipurpose Room
Arrival Time: 8:45am
Test Start Time: 9:00am promptly
All students taking the AICE General Paper exam must report to the Multipurpose Room by 8:45am on April 25th and May 1st. Testing will begin at 9:00am sharp on both days.
AP US History Students in Mrs. Riordan Stallings class

Location: Multipurpose Room
Exam: US End-of-Course (EOC)
Arrival Time: 7:10am
Test Start Time: 7:30am
Students enrolled in AP US History will take the US History End-of-Course exam on May 2nd in the Multipurpose Room.

HCC Dance Program Information
I am reaching out to you with information about the HCC Dance Program in hopes that you can share it with interested students at Kirkland Ranch High School.
The HCC Dance Program offers an Associate of Arts Degree in Dance, a comprehensive 63-credit-hour course of study that provides dance technique, choreography, repertory, and analysis courses. This degree opens doors to diverse career paths, including dance performance, dance education, dance studies, and related fields.
Here are a few reasons why your students should consider studying dance at HCC:

· Shadow a student for a day: Prospective students can shadow a current HCC dancer for a day to get a glimpse of our program.

STEM Education Center Summer Program
We are pleased to announce the University of South Florida - STEM Education Center will host Summer School 2024 for high school students during July 1 - July 26, 2024.

Format and structure:
For Summer 2024, the program consists of four core topics:
· Mathematics (led by professor Razvan Teodorescu),
· Molecular Biology (led by Dr. Les Shaw, planned program: “Bad bugs, no drugs”),
· Physics (led by Dr. Lilia Woods, planned program: nanotechnology and materials-by-design),
· Advanced Visualization and Modelling (led by Dr. Howard Kaplan, planned program: 3D methods, AI training, robotics).
The daily schedule will include two activities in the morning (between 9:00 and 12:00) and two in the afternoon (1:30 to 4:30), which can be either classroom-based, laboratory-based, or small team group work.
Costs and fellowships:
A number of fellowships are available for qualified applicants, courtesy of the American Mathematical Society’s Young Scholars Program, the National Science Foundation, and private donors. For July 2024, the cost for non-residential students is $1,600.
Application process:
Interested applicants should submit the following application materials to razvan@usf.edu.
· A one-page statement of interest
· Two letters of recommendation from teachers or research mentors
· A copy of a recent transcript

USNA Summer Programs Season!
The Naval Academy Summer Seminar and Summer STEM Applications will remain open until April 15.
Naval Academy Summer Seminar offers an opportunity for rising high school seniors to experience USNA for one week. Participants learn about life at the Naval Academy, where academics, athletics, and professional training play equally important roles in developing our nation's future leaders. The Summer STEM Program is a great catalyst to initiate the pursuit of a future in science and engineering. Summer STEM is an opportunity for participants to create, build, and explore in world-class lab facilities, working alongside USNA’s distinguished faculty and Midshipmen.

ABC Program Needs Your Assistance
Parents, we are in need of gently used clothes(School Appropriate) that your student is no longer using. Shoes, pants, shorts, shirts etc... NO bathing suits or intimates UNLESS they are brand new. Please drop off the items in the front office. We greatly appreciate your help!

Athletic Parking - Semester 2
Parents,
The green passes for athletic parking are expired. Please complete the form by clicking here to complete the application for a Spring Sports Parking pass. After completing the form, you will be able to pick up a pass in the main office at the end of the day. Please allow 48 hours for a pass to be processed.

ABC (Assist, Believe and Care) Program
The ABC (Assist, Believe and Care) Program was founded by former Pasco County Schools Superintendent Thomas E. Weightman and is officially called the Thomas E. Weightman ABC Program. The overarching goal of the program is to try and address those barriers that may interfere with the educational success of the child. The program is designed to provide support to students and their families that are experiencing economic hardship or in an immediate family crisis.
