Poetry Month
National Poetry Month is April! The website poets.org, all things pertaining to poetry, created a program for students Grades 5-12 to write to nationally acclaimed authors. The poets will respond in return. Very neat program. Here is some letters from National Poetry Month 2022 Write a Poet Program.

Land Acknowledgment
The Kumeyaay-Ipai Interpretive Center of Pauwai (Poway) is a five acre site rich in the local history of the Kumeyaay-Ipai Indian tribes. Follow the trails past ramadas, interpretive signage, native gardens and a replica of an 'ewaa (native Kumeyaay house). Morteros (grinding stones) left by the original Kumeyaay inhabitants still remain on this historic site. Also visit the Education Center to view artifacts and other interesting historical items and photos.
