STAFF CORNER
IT'S PANORAMA SURVEY TIME!!!
We need your input to enhance your students school experience! The Panorama Family Survey is now live, and we value your feedback. Let us hear your voice!!
Please spare 5 minutes to take the survey by Friday March 14. Click HERE to get started.
- Select your student's school from the dropdown menu and click "Take this survey."
- Select your preferred language by clicking the dropdown menu in the upper left-hand corner of the page.
- If you have children enrolled in multiple schools, you can complete the survey for each school.
Your responses are anonymous and crucial in shaping programs and services for your child and the school community!
Please just take a moment to take this survey. Our goal this Spring is to get to 110 survey participants! We had 99 survey participants in the Fall. Which means we have plenty of room to grow these numbers! Gables has over 400 students. If just one parent or guardian took this survey per family, we could hit these numbers with ease.
Remember, your feedback matters.
Thank you for your participation!
We love to learn!

School Nurse Update
School-aged kids (6 to 12 years)
Recommended sleep duration: 9 to 12 hours
When your child starts going to school, their No. 1 job is to learn. Getting sufficient sleep will go a long way toward keeping them engaged during their classes.
“Kids who aren’t getting enough sleep are more likely to have problems concentrating and behaving appropriately at school,” Dr. Shah shares. “Insufficient sleep can affect them in ways that make them fall behind their peers in classroom performance.”
Beyond the classroom, a lack of sleep also can make it difficult to keep up in sports or other extracurricular activities. Establish healthy bedtime routines, and get those zzzz's!
Gables Multicultural Night IS COMING!
We will be celebrating our Gables Community at our Multicultural Night on Thursday April 3, 2025 at 5:30pm. WE NEED YOUR HELP! This week, students should have brought home a flyer with information on how you can participate. There is a variety of ways to get involved:
- Providing a Potluck Dish: This dish can be traditional to your culture or represent a culture other than your own.
- Performing a Cultural Presentation: Enlist your cultural talents (sing, dance, play an instrument, etc.). Inform us if you know of a person or group who would be willing to share their cultural talent.
- Setting up a Display: Share a country's flag, photos, maps, or items of cultural significance.
- Wearing traditional attire: Represent different cultures with traditional dress and join us in a fashion show.
- Volunteering: Help us set up and clean up the event.
If you would like to get involved, please fill out the form that was send home or email Amy Ankeney at aankeney6984@columbus.k12.oh.us
School Counselor Update
It’s career exploration month!
It is never too soon to start discussing careers with your child. Asking questions such as “what is your passion?” or “what are you interested in?” gets them thinking about their future. Mrs. Trammell, my Counseling Intern, and I will be visiting the classrooms this month to get this conversation started. Meanwhile, here are some fun websites to check out:
