Free Summer Meals
For children 18 years old and younger GPS Nutrition Services provides free, healthy meals over the summer, to be consumed on site at Boulder Creek Elementary, Oak Tree Elementary, and Mesquite Junior High. Starting May 29th through July 11th, Monday through Friday. No sign up required. Adults may purchase breakfast for $3 and lunch for $5 cash only. Please note all locations will be closed July 4th.

There's Still Time! Elementary Summer School Registration Closes May 28th
Gilbert Public Schools' Elementary Summer School is designed to foster a love of lifelong learning by providing engaging and hands-on educational opportunities for students from PreK through 6th grade. The program focuses on intellectual and social growth through a diverse curriculum led by certified GPS teachers. This summer, students can explore a variety of enriching topics through courses like:
- Book Bonanza, a reading adventure across different genres for 2nd through 6 graders.
- Fact Fluency, which makes mastering math facts fun through interactive games.
- Ready, Set, Experiment!, a hands-on science class encouraging discovery.
- Ocean Adventures, an exploration of marine life and ecosystems.
- Not So Foreign Sonoran, a deep dive into the unique aspects of the Sonoran Desert.
- Welcome to Theater, an introduction to acting and storytelling.
Elementary summer school courses will be held at Finley Farms Elementary School. Classes are $95 each, and students can enroll in one to three 55-minute sessions. Registration is open until May 28, 2025.

Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee - Applications Now Open!
The Mayor's Youth Advisory Committee (MYAC) is a leadership opportunity for high school students to learn about local government while connecting with Gilbert's community.
Participants are required to volunteer and provide feedback on various topics impacting residents.
Applications close July 12, 2025.
