Note: This weekly newsletter is being sent to all of our enrolled families, both those at the Broadway K-8 campus and those whose students attend class at Operation Breakthrough, so that all families are aware of upcoming events.

Due to inclement weather school day cancellations on both days of hearing screenings, they've been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 19th and Wednesday, March 5th. Please contact Johanna Chambers with questions or to opt your child out of the screening.

We’re halfway through the month, and we've already hit 58% re-enrollment! Current student spots are only guaranteed until Friday, February 28th—after that, any open seats will be offered to new students through the lottery. Be sure to complete re-enrollment this month! For more details, visit the Re-Enrollment page on the CWCKC website.

If you have additional children you’d like to enroll at Citizens for the 2025-2026 school year, submit your SchoolAppKC application by March 1st to give them the best chance of securing a seat in the lottery.

We need to hear from every family regarding your intentions for next year. If your family will not be returning for the 2025-2026 school year, kindly email Katy Lineberry with this update. We are required to account for every student’s plans, and this will also stop further reminder emails and calls.

Thank you to everyone who completed re-enrollment by February 10th! We had 208 students included in the raffle, and the winners of our $50 gift cards were the families of Cay’lee Rogers and Ahmara Murillo!

All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are invited to the Middle School Dance on Thursday, February 27th, from 6 to 7:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room! Enjoy music, a photo booth, and snacks available for purchase. Tickets will cost $1 each, with food items costing 1 ticket and photo booth visits costing 2 tickets per person. Come hang out with friends and have a great time—we hope to see you there!
