Principal's Weekly Update
October 20th-25th
Dear Families,
Thank you to everyone who participated in our dress down day fundraiser for SEAL. We raised $500 to donate to their upcoming fundraiser, Rodman Ride for Kids.
All Saints Day and Halloween are just around the corner. On October 31st, students can wear their Halloween costumes. Instead of having a fundraiser for this event, we are asking each family to donate a bag of candy of our All Saints' Day celebration. On November 1st, All Saints Day, students will walk up to Holy Name Church to celebrate Mass at 9 am. Families are welcome to join us for Mass. We ask all students to dress as their favorite saint. After Mass, we will have a All Saints' Day celebration back at the school. Please help us make this celebration a success and consider donating a bag of candy on the 31st. Any extra candy will be saved for other student celebrations and events throughout the year.
All students are also encouraged to dress as their favorite saint on All Saints Day. The goal is for students to be creative and learn more about the lives of the saints. Below I have included some resources on simple DIY costumes to keep this event fun and affordable for families. Any students who does dress as a saint on November 1st will be given a dress down day pass to be used at a later date.
Please note the Halloween costume policy. Students may not wear clothes clothing that is overly scary or has demonic/satanic imagery. Students may also not wear masks or bring toy weapons. General dress down rules also apply. Please note that the administration to reserves the right to determine if a costume is appropriate and parents will be called to bring a change of clothes if needed.
Please also remember that this Friday, October 25th is an early release day for professional development. I know we have had multiple early releases this month, so I appreciate everyone's flexibility.
Lastly, as a friendly reminder, our NEASC visiting committee will be here on Monday and Tuesday.
Sincerely,
Megan dos Santos
Principal

Futsal Volunteers Needed
We are looking for two parents to assist some of our volunteer coaches. Coaches still in high school are required to have another adult who is CORI'd present. An adult is needed for the 1st/2nd grade team as well as the 3rd/4th grade team. Volunteers will not be responsible for coaching but rather assisting with supervising and being present.
Middle School Dance
There will be a middle school Halloween dance on October 25th from 6-8pm. The cost is $5. Students may wear their Halloween costumes. Below is a link to pay online.
Futsal Registration - Due 10/24
Futsal will be starting up in the middle of November, but it's not too soon to start signing your students up!
We will also need coaches, so please let me know if you are willing and able to help us out with leading the teams.
Attached is the registration form, waiver and overview.
Please return the registration form, waiver and payment as soon as possible. Since space will depend upon how many coaches sign up, it may be limited. Therefore, it will be on a first come, first served basis.
If you are interested in coaching, please contact me at Tinkrbl777@msn.com or 508-496-0907 (you can call or text). You will need to fill out a CORI form, which should be done rather quickly.
