As we have entered the second quarter of the school year and the month of November, we are filled with gratitude for our AMAZING school community. It has truly been a fantastic start to the school year!! The first quarter was filled with achievements, growth, opportunities, and valuable experiences for our remarkable students. As we move forward, there are some exciting events and updates to look forward to, and we're excited about the month ahead.

Video Coding with eSports

ESports established a partnership with college mentors from Clark, Spelman, and Morehouse. We have Jakylan Fuller Reid and Ashley Darling spearheading engaging computer science lessons every Tuesday and Wednesday for our eSports students.

Chick-Fil-A HQ Field Trip

44 students attended a field trip to Chick-Fil-A Headquarters where they had an opportunity to explore real-world applications of design and manufacturing processes. This experience helped students connect engineering concepts to practical industry practices, fostering skills in problem-solving, innovation, and teamwork.

We celebrated Red Ribbon Week October 23-31 in raising awareness about the dangers of drug use and promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Let’s make a difference together! #RedRibbonWeek #DrugFree #HealthyLiving

We have met 21% of our goal by logging 123,500 minutes! Encourage your student to read daily and log their minutes in Race 2 Read (Beanstack).

• Paper Mission - an interactive and fun game that helps students practice their math skills

• Paper Live- engaging, interest based after school academic programming

• Review Center - for students to get personalized feedback on their writing, resumes, applications, and more

The Goodr Grocery Store gives you a free way to supplement your family's weekly groceries. Hunger relief company, Goodr, has partnered with Atlanta Gas Light and Young Middle School to

bring this resource to the community.
