Dear VAP Families,
As we dive into another exciting week at Van Avery, I am thrilled to share some upcoming events that promise to enrich our students' experiences and foster community spirit.
This week, our K-2nd grade students will be going on some exciting field trips! The 2nd graders will visit the San Diego Zoo, while Kindergarten and 1st grade will head to Bates Nut Farm. We can't wait to hear about all their adventures when they return!
On Wednesday, our middle school students will be hosting a lemonade stand to support CJ's Smiles. A refreshing cup of lemonade will be available for a minimum donation of just $1. We encourage all students and families to stop by for a drink and to support this worthy cause!
This Friday, we’re gearing up for the much-anticipated annual Sock Hop for our 3rd-5th graders! All families in these grades are invited to join in on the fun. There will be food available for cash purchase, and we’re excited to announce that the DOH Creamery truck will be on campus for this event. It promises to be a night of great music, dancing, and community connection!
Looking ahead, next week is Red Ribbon Week! We have some fun dress-up days planned to promote healthy choices and drug prevention. Be sure to check out the flyer below for all the themed days and how your family can participate.
As always, I encourage you to review the rest of the newsletter for important information and upcoming events. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in making VAP a wonderful place for our children to learn and grow.
