Use with students
- Students do not need a Symbaloo account to use a Symbaloo board that is shared through a link or embedded in a website
- When you share the link, do not copy from the browser- you click "Share" then "Webmix Details" to get the share link.
- Symbaloo is a great tool for students to keep their school bookmarks if your district is 1:1 and the devices are taken up at the end of the school year. In this case, the students definitely must have their own account.
- You can create Lesson Plans, like a Lesson "Path", with Symbaloo. See more info below.
GETTING STARTED
Create an account at www.symbaloo.com.
After creating your account, you can edit the generic Symbaloo board and you can create new boards. Start with something easy like your most used bookmarks (and make it your homepage!). Then branch out and try other things:
- Create a symbaloo board of the links you want your students to use, ie. music theory sites, digital resources used for your class, etc.
- Create a symbaloo board of digital activities for students to use when there is a sub or if they finish work early, or on a catch-up day when others are making up work.
SYMBALOO LESSON PLANS
http://lessonplans.symbaloo.com - Symbaloo introduced a new platform called Symbaloo Lesson Plans. Personalize learning for students and track real-time results. In the Marketplace you can find Lesson Plans that are created by others.
