Principal's Call Out
Good Afternoon, families,
We are incredibly proud of our students! They have jumped right back into the swing of things, demonstrating excellent BUGS behavior and working hard in their classes. We are deeply thankful for our dedicated teachers and staff, who go above and beyond every day to support our students!
Over the past two weeks, our students participated in the iReady Diagnostic. We are so proud of their learning and growth, and we know they will continue to put in their best efforts for the rest of the school year!
I’d like to take a moment to express our gratitude to our PTA for everything they do for our school. If you are a member of the Parent/Teacher Association, this includes you! We’re all excited about the upcoming Bug-A-Palooza Fun Run, and our students are beyond thrilled. When we reach our fundraising goal, the PTA will install Water Bottle Filling Stations around campus. To make this happen, we need to raise $25,000 in tax-deductible donations for the stations. We are confident that we can meet and exceed this goal!
A huge congratulations to our students for already reaching the $15,000 milestone! To celebrate, this coming Wednesday, January 22, 2025, will be Wacky Wednesday! We’ll dress in silly socks, wear clothes backward, and sport some crazy hairstyles. Be creative—the wackier, the better!
This weekend, we’re hosting something extra fun to continue raising donations. We have a special challenge: If your child receives any donation, their name will be entered into a drawing for a chance to pie me!! Let’s reach that $25,000 goal together!
The Fun Run will take place on January 24th, and we are looking for volunteers to help us on the day. If you're available, please sign up using the link in the section below.
Thank you all for your continued support! As always, please let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or celebrations.
Kindly,
Dr. Thacker
Principal

Celebrate Literacy Week!
Snapshot and 5Essentials Surveys
Beginning January 28th, students in grades 4-12 will have the opportunity to take part in the Student Snapshot Survey. The results of this survey will showcase what makes each of our schools unique. Student input and comments are important and play a key role in spotlighting innovation and achievements.
In addition to the Snapshot Survey, students will once again have the opportunity to participate in the 5Essentials Survey. This survey allows students in grades 4-12 to chance to share their thoughts on important elements of their school and classroom experiences.
The Student Snapshot and 5Essentials Surveys will be conducted January 28th – February 28th.
Participation in the surveys provides valuable information on our school and helps guide school improvement. Students’ identities and survey responses are kept completely confidential and will never be connected to your student.
The Parent Snapshot Survey will take place in mid -April as part of our district Parent Engagement Survey.
