Jeffries Journal
September 2024
From the Principal
Hello Jaguar Families!
Welcome back! We have so enjoyed spending the last two weeks getting to know your child and getting back in the groove of school. We can't wait to see what the 24-25 school year holds for us!
Sincerely,
Dr. Glenn

From the Counselor
Here is the monthly newsletter from Mrs. Livingston.
From the Nurse
- Parents/guardians- Please remember to bring all medications into the nurse's office to be checked in and paperwork signed giving permission to be given at school. Any medications found in the backpack will be locked up and not given until paperwork is completed. This includes any over-the-counter medications as well.
- Place a set of extra clothes in your students' backpack in case of spills, accidents or messes your student might have.
- If your student is sent home with lice, you must bring them back to the nurse to be checked again before they are allowed to go back to class. The nurse must check the students' head to make sure all lice/nits have been treated.
- Jeffries Health Fair is scheduled on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. We will test vision, hearing and dental on grades Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd and 5th. Look for more information to come.
- Please share with your families and let them know that they can donate gently used or new clothing items anytime during school hours. All sizes are welcome, even adults, as the PTA clothing bank welcomes high school students as well.
Thank you!
From the PTA
Why YOU should join the PTA:
The "PTA" stands for Parent-Teachers Association and is a non-profit organization that is organized and run by families just like yours!!!
Did you know that when your kid brings $1 for hat day or crazy hair day that 100% of the money raised will be used to fund events for your children? Again, 100% of the profits; whether it's selling hotdogs, raffle tickets, or event tickets will go to benefit your children.
Here are just a few things we have done in the last 6 month:
- Meet the Teacher Celebration
- Paint the Playground
- Decorate areas of the school
Many more to come!
If you would like to join the PTA and support our cause, simply pay your membership dues of $10 and include your name and phone #. Here is the link to join. Being a member does not mean you have to volunteer but it certainly is appreciated!
Parent's Night Out
ATTENTION PARENTS! Take the night out that you deserve. Simply drop your kids off at Jeffries Elementary and we'll do the rest!
You can purchase your ticket at any point before the event; however, we do request you do as soon as possible to ensure we get the right amount of food. Tickets will be $20 per student, which will include 2 slices of pizza, a drink, and up to 3 hours of fun with lots of games and inflatables. There will be additional items for sale at the event such as glow sticks, wristbands, and popcorn; so be sure to send your child with a couple extra dollars. Click the link below to purchase your tickets now! Children must be between the ages of 5 and 12 and potty trained.
