Principal's Message
Dear Cavalier Families,
I hope you enjoyed the four-day weekend. Last week, our students shined in many activities like the STEM fair, the "Doc for a Day" Academy learning CPR from Kaiser Emergency Room Doctors and performing with their classmates at our Information night. We ended the busy week with some fun at the Sweetheart's Dance! Pictures are posted below.
Parents, every year the CalSchools Survey is administered to get feedback. The short survey provides a means to confidentially obtain:
- parent perceptions about the school's learning environment;
- school climate;
- student supports; and
- parent outreach and involvement efforts (e.g., how welcoming, communicative).
Please take the time to fill out the survey. Thank you for being our partner in your child's education.
Last but not least, our 8th grade promotion ceremony is set! Please see the information posted below in regards to date, time and place.
Parents and students, please read the letter(s) below regarding promotion requirements:
8th grade promotion letter SPANISH
7th grade promotion letter SPANISH
This week's announcements:
- There will no tutoring on Wednesday after school as there is a Faculty Meeting.
- Rise Up Fridays begins this week with the math department. Parents, please ensure if you get a call, that your student stays after school for extra assistance. Students attending Rise Up will be released between 2:15 and 2:30 pm. Teachers may also reach out to you to request a conference with parents either on the phone or in-person to discuss student performance.
- The first Progress Report is at the end of this month, in two short weeks. How are your grades so far? Please make sure you are monitoring your grades via Jupiter consistently and taking advantage of support from your teachers.
Continuing announcements:
- The 8th grade promotion ceremony will be held at Hilltop High School on Thursday, June 5th, 2025 at 3:00 pm. 8th graders must have earned 21 credits to participate with no behavior issues. Each student will be allowed up to six guests.
- All students and parents have the unique opportunity to receive individual and family therapy sessions at no cost through the Center of Mindful Relationships. If any student is interested in this, please fill out this form or scan the QR code on the flyer listed below.
- Parents can register their students for Club TC on the school website or through the QR code below. The Club TC office is in Room 215, close to the white G street gate. Those arriving early must enter through the gate. After school dismissal is also through the white G street gate. Once students exit the Auditorium gate at 3:10 pm they are not allowed to enter back for Club TC.
Please feel free to contact myself or Assistant Principal
