Prairie Kindergarten Resource Guide
2025-2026
Meet Principal Jones
Welcome Prairie Panthers! It has been a pleasure getting to meet many of you during our preschool visits this spring. Kindergarten Kickoff was also a great success! We look forward to partnering with each of you to support your child's social and academic goals.
There are two action items we need for you to complete as soon as possible. Please take about 15 minutes to view my Kindergarten Kickoff presentation video. Another very important piece to complete as soon as possible are the Ages & Stages Questionnaires. Julie Keogh sent this assignment to you as you enrolled, so thanks to all who have already completed this task! Details can be found about these important tools in this guide.
I will be adding resources to this guide over the next few weeks, so please be sure to check in periodically to see if there are any updates. I will be adding some information from Nurse Amy Allen over the next few days. I always appreciate your input, so please let me know if there is any key information I can add to make this transition into Kindergarten even smoother for all of our students and families.
Please view the 15-min. video linked below to learn all about Kindergarten!
ASQ: MUST DO!
I have your first assignment as a Prairie parent! Please be sure to fill out the Ages & Stages Questionnaires as soon as possible. This is a requirement across the state of Kansas for all incoming kindergarteners. We need your input as we begin this education journey together as families and educators!
Your knowledge of your child will help us place students in balanced classrooms to ensure the right level of support for each Prairie Panther. If your child needs some extra support in certain developmental areas, we will share resources to help ease the transition to school.
Please follow the link below to fill out both questionnaires:
"I am completing both the ASQ-3™ and ASQ:SE-2™ questionnaires."
