11/4/2024 October Fall School Edition
Happy Fall,
The weather has been amazing and I hope that everyone has been able to enjoy it. We are just beginning the second quarter of the school year. Grades have been completed, and we venture into Parent-Teacher Conference Week. Schoology is a very accurate way to keep track of grades, including final grades as teachers get the final scores entered into the grade book.
IT'S CONFERENCE TIME
I know that some of the middle school grade-level teams have reached out to parents to schedule meetings. If you would like to schedule a meeting with your child's teachers, please notify the teachers or contact Mrs. Farmer in the office who is formulating the schedule for the 3 days. Please note that we can meet any time of the year. Please contact your child's teachers for teaming times throughout the day.
Our times for conferences include:
Early Release Schedule for students at 1:15 pm on Wednesday 11/6 and Thursday 11/7.
Conferences Wednesday - 2:20 pm (20 minute increments) with last one scheduled at 6:40 pm
Conferences Thursday - 2:20 pm (20 minute increments) with last one scheduled at 6:40 pm
No School Friday 11/8 for students
Conferences Friday - 8:00 am (20 minute increments) with the last one scheduled at 11:40 am
It's Book Fair Time!
Here's a reminder that parents can stop in with or with out their students to purchase books during our Scholastic Book Fair during Parent/Teacher Conferences. Keep your child reading for pleasure. It enhances skills, and promotes a healthy lifestyle habit that they can carry with them forever. Contact Mrs. Taylor in the library with any questions.
Red-Ribbon Week
We just wrapped up Red-Ribbon 🎀🎀week with our middle school students. This year's theme was
Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free. The theme is a reminder that by staying drug free, you are sending a message to yourself and others about how much you value yourself, your overall health, your community and your future. By Making healthy choices, like staying drug free, you are much more likely to achieve your goals!
We walked the red carpet💃🕺, put a lid on drugs👒🧢, gave drugs the boot🥾👢, and scared away drugs for the week🎃🧛🦹🏻♀️. There were many fun activities that remind students to grow up safe, healthy, and drug free.

Remind 101
Just a reminder that the district uses Remind 101 to notify families of closings, delays, transportation information, and other emergencies. Please assure that you have signed up or have up-to-date information in your account. There are instructions on the school's website under the Parent tab on how to sign up!
YEARBOOK Picture candids
Parents, if you take any group photos from games, events, etc from this school year, send them in to be included in the yearbooks. Anyone can upload pictures throughout the school year to be used in the yearbook. (The yearbook staff will choose which images will be used.)
When you click on the link, you will be prompted to set up an account. Then, just upload pics like any other app. There are tags available to add to their pics, if you don't know the team or group, you can always tag the grade level.
(*Community members can use this link!) It is the easiest way for us to get different images.

When you may have any respiratory virus...
Stay home and away from others (including people you live with who are not sick) if you have respiratory virus symptoms. These symptoms can include fever, chills, fatigue, cough, runny nose, and headache, among others.
- You can go back to your normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, both are true:
- Your symptoms are getting better overall, and
- You have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication).
- Your symptoms are getting better overall, and
