Smith Family Newsletter
We believe in the power of school and family partnerships.
Message from Dr. Rivera
November is already flying by with just 12 more days until Thanksgiving break! We have several family events coming up, including a PTO spirit night, Raising Readers during our book fair, and our annual Turkey Trot. I also enjoy November because we get to honor our veterans. My brother and sister both served in the military, and the kids love seeing our veterans at school for our program.
In addition, as we get into the holiday season, please remember that attendance matters, and we need our kids at school to learn and grow each day. Last week we had our worst attendance ever, and I know we can do better than that. Visit with our nurse or me if you have questions about attendance and when to send your child to school after an illness.
Finally, we have the most dedicated staff members serving our kids. Click here to nominate a Star Educator and support the Magnolia Education Foundation. Awards will be presented in December.

PTO News
THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the fall festival a success! We had excellent attendance at the festival and lots of bidding on the auction items. In addition to the family events, our PTO routinely spoils our teachers with treats to help with morale. We appreciate everything they do! We hope to see your family at the PTO Spirit Night at Pizzaiolo's on November 19th.
They are currently planning for the big events in the spring, so click here to get involved.
