The Spartan Spotlight
June 2024
A Message From Our Superintendent:
Dear Parents,
As we wind down the 2023-2024 school year, we want to let you know that we hope you all have a safe and enjoyable summer. Congratulations to the Class of 2024! They were simply a great class and a model for future classes to follow. Their ability to exist in school with one another through good times and bad was truly remarkable at their age. They are an inspiration for all of us.
For parents who have students returning in the fall, we have a couple significant upgrades to look forward to during the 2024-2025 school year. We will be moving to the PowerSchool Student Information System which will allow us to share grades, attendance, and other information with you in a very timely and efficient manner. We also are launching a new K-8 schoolwide language arts/reading program named Wit & Wisdom. This program will give students a coordinated program that spans nine years, and it will build grade level content knowledge before students are asked to read about the content.
Enjoy the summer with your family and friends!
Sincerely,
Jack Marcellus
🌻 Congratulations to Mrs. Veytsman and Mrs. Tedesco! Happy Retirement! 🌻
Mrs. Barri Veytsman is retiring from the Gibbsboro community after an impressive 31 years of service! In her role as Supervisor of Special Services and School Psychologist, Mrs. Veytsman has been a meaningful part of the lives of many students and families. Her unwavering dedication and commitment to doing what is best for our students is remarkable, and she will be missed tremendously.
Mrs. Audrey Tedesco is retiring after dedicating 3 years to the Gibbsboro School. Mrs. T, as she is fondly known by students, taught Kindergarten for 25 years before coming to Gibbsboro. Her laughter and positive energy impacts so many around her. She will be dearly missed.
Good luck in retirement to both of these stellar women!
