Dear STM Community,

It has been a pleasure serving you this past school year! Thank you for your love and support of St. Thomas More School! This week Thursday will be my last day before beginning my maternity leave. Please rest assured that St. Thomas More will be in great hands!

• Mr. Drew Mulloy will step in as acting principal. Mr. Mulloy is the current GRACE Superintendent and is very knowledgeable and supportive of GRACE Schools and STM! Please join me in welcoming Mr. Mulloy!
• Ms. Alejandra Beals will continue to provide a weekly newsletter for families, although it may be in a different format. Please watch for correspondence from her. Thank you Mrs. Beals!

I look forward to returning in the fall! I wish you all a wonderful rest of the school year and a beautiful and enjoyable summer!

Spring STAR testing is scheduled for Monday, April 29 - May 9th. All STM students will be testing in reading and math during this time. These tests are very important and will help determine future high school placement. It is very important that students try their best on these tests. Please help us ensure your students are well rested during this time and are ready to do their best! Thank you!

We are blessed with a dedicated, faith-filled, talented staff here at STM, and we thank each of our staff members for generously serving our children and our community. We understand that life changes and God’s path leads us in different directions, and as the school year wraps up, we have a few changes to share with you.

• Fourth Grade: Thank you to Ms. Patlan for so generously serving in a teaching role this school year! She will be heading to Madison to begin a School Counseling program through UW-Madison! We wish you all of the best Ms. P!
• Counselor: Thank you Ms. Tina for your words of encouragement and nurturing students' minds, bodies, and souls. We wish you the best!
• MS Religion & Catholic Identity Coordinator: Thank you Ms. Atwell for your faithful heart and for pouring your love for Jesus into STM students! Ms. Atwell is moving to LaCrosse with her family. We wish you the best!

• The deadline to apply for GRACE Financial Aid is today May 1, 2024. Submit and complete your application today.
  

• If you completed your application to the GRACE Financial Aid program for 2024-25 by the May 1st deadline, final review will be conducted this month with award determinations anticipated to be made and communicated to families the first week of June.

• If you are still completing your GRACE Financial Aid application or have not yet applied, you may still complete/apply as applications will undergo review and award determination will be based on available financial aid dollars. Please note that Billing will commence and continue as scheduled beginning July 1, 2024. At the time a financial aid award may take place, the award will be applied to the account’s future balance.

In school year 2024-25, if you have a child that is entering one of the following grades,

• Kindergarten through 8th grade

• 9-12th grade at Chesterton Academy of St. John Paul II Classical School)

• your family has active, registered membership at one of our GRACE partnering parishes, and

• wish to receive the Active Parishioner Incentive

please complete the 2024-25 Parish Verification Form with your GRACE Parish and submit it before June 1, 2024.

The deadline for GRACE 2024-25 Parish Verification Forms is June 1, 2024.

The 2nd Annual Health Fair is designed to enhance community well-being by offering health education, screenings, and opportunities for physical activity. It aims to bridge the gap between underserved populations and healthcare, promoting health awareness and empowering informed decision-making.

The inaugural health fair saw a turnout of 200 community participants and over 20 community organizations and vendors. Notably, the majority of last year's participants have already agreed to participate again this year, highlighting the event's positive impact. We are excited to welcome new participants this year, including Unity Hospice and Golden House of Green Bay.
