The Trojan Triumph
September 6, 2024
From the Principal's Desk
What a great start to the school year! We are excited to have the students back in the building. They are busy learning and doing projects already. As we get into the school year, I want to remind students and parents to notify the school when you are going to be absent. It's important to minimize absences as much as possible. Research shows that students who are frequently absent do not do as well in classes or on standardized tests. Attendance is important! If a student is going to be absent for multiple days, make sure to reach out to his or her teachers. Most work can be assigned online, through Google Classroom. Let's make it a great year.
Lets go Trojans!

Meet Miss Fowler
Miss Fowler is a proud Ohio University Alumna. She graduated from Fredericktown High School, but also attended Centerburg Elementary for a year as a child. She played volleyball and loves to snowboard. You can almost always find her listening to music; she doesn't work or sit in silence often. She has a dog, Stevie, who is her everything. Stevie has her own Centerburg High School jersey to wear. Miss Fowler chose to become a high school science teacher because she loves working with high school students and science has always been something that interests her. She is beyond excited and grateful to be apart of the wonderful, tight-knit Centerburg community once again!
Safety Update from our SRO
When picking up and dropping off during busy times please be mindful of the following:
1) As students, if you are walking to and from vehicles, please try to use marked crosswalks and watch for vehicles. It is hard to see you sometimes, especially if you dart out into the lot.
2) For those driving, maintain a slow speed and watch for other cars and pedestrians. Some drivers are new and less confident.
3) Please yield to buses, they are less maneuverable and have to swing wide for turns. At the end of the day, they must head over to the elementary for pick up and they have a schedule to keep.
4) Do not cut through the bus lot to go to and from Wilson Rd and the back of the school. It is marked "busses only" during arrival and dismissal times. There is a lot of foot traffic in that lot during those times and students and bus drivers are not expecting extra vehicles.
5) Please be patient with each other. Everybody is trying to accomplish the same goal and there is bound to be some congestion. Let's have a safe school year!
