Marty's Minute
Wow, it's already December. I hope you all had a relaxing and restorative Thanksgiving break.
As we travel through these last few weeks of 2022, I hope you can embrace the season, finish the year strong and begin to look forward to a new year ahead.
Festival of Tress 2022
This was a great collaborative community service project for students!
The wood was donated by Port Angeles Hardwood, the stain was donated by Angeles Millwork & Hartnagel Building Supply, and the design and craftsmanship were done by PAHS Woodshop Students!
Thank you to Mr. Shideler for his dedication to teaching the skill of fine woodworking and the importance of giving back to the community!
Port Angeles Community Awards!
Show some love to the amazing people and organizations that do so much in our community.
Nominees will be announced later in December and the awards gala is on Saturday, January 28th, at Vern Burton
Last year, Angie Gooding won Educator of the Year, and Luke Gavin won Young Leader of the Year. Who will it be this year? YOU can help decide!

Spread some holiday cheer by sending Christmas Cards, crafts, or other fun items to local elderly residents.

PASD's Cabinet Members Visit Dry Creek
Here is a peek into a school day at Dry Creek Elementary! PASD's admin members had a chance to hang out at Dry Creek recently and were amazed by all the fun and learning taking place!
Students worked hard in classrooms, had some serious fun at recess, and above all, were kind to one another.
Way to go, Dry Creek Dragons!
Operation Candy Cane 2022!
The Fire District, along with Santa and helper elves, will be there with their decorated fire engine to say hello, hand out candy canes, and collect food for the Port Angeles Food Bank and hand out candy canes. Collection points are at Roosevelt School and Dry Creek Schools.

- Saturday, December 3rd, from 6-8 PM at Dry Creek School, 25 Rife Road

Wintertide Festival of Lights
Enjoy food & drink vendors, lighted art illuminating the forest paths, lantern workshops and a
community lantern walk, glow-in-the-dark art stations, and thrilling performances down in the meadow.
Visitors can also enjoy the Makers Market from 11AM-8PM on Festival day.
