Battle of the Boot Game
Dear Brock Students & Families,
On Friday, August 30th, BISD’s high school football season kicks off with the annual Boot Bowl game! This game is expected to sell out, and in order to provide our Brock families with an enjoyable game time experience, we ask that you take a moment to read the BISD Stadium Rules included below and review them with your child.
Please know that all elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by their parent. Students who do not have a parent with them will not be permitted to enter the game. Additionally, students should remain with their parents throughout the game. Knowing the expectations in advance and following the BISD Stadium rules allows everyone in attendance to enjoy the game.
As a reminder, tickets must be purchased online: Click here to purchase tickets for the game!
Thank you for your support. We look forward to a great night in BISD!

Nurse Shive
Just a reminder: attendance is essential to your child’s success at school! Throughout the year, there may be health reasons to keep your child home from school. The following guidelines may be help determine when your child should stay home from school due to illness:
Fever of 100 degrees or higher in the past 24 hours
Your child must be free of fever for a full 24 hours without the help of fever-reducing medications (such as Tylenol or Motrin) before sending them back to school.
Vomiting and/or diarrhea in the past 24 hours
Itchy, red eyes with discharge
Rash that has fluid or pus coming from it until treatment has been received, and a note from the doctor states that your child may return to school.
Ringworm of the scalp (until treatment has started)
Head lice (may return after appropriate lice treatment) -Your school nurse will need to check your child’s head before he/she returns to class.
Please encourage your child to wash his or her hands often, use hand sanitizer, and cover their noses and mouths when coughing or sneezing. It is also helpful for your children to get plenty of sleep and to eat healthy foods, especially breakfast.
Always remember that I am available to assist you if you have any questions on whether or not you should keep your student home. We share a common goal – the health, safety, and educational success of your child!
