GA School Climate Survey Information
The state of Georgia administers a set of surveys for students, parents, and staff members known as the Georgia Health Surveys. The surveys are completed by students, staff, and parents of each school throughout the state. Information for each has been provided in the links below.
The Georgia Parent Survey contains 22 questions. Parents will be able to complete the survey using their personal computers, or cell phone. We encourage all parents to participate in the Georgia Parent Survey as the survey results assist in the identification of safety, climate, and health issues that impact student achievement and help guide school prevention and intervention strategies. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis. The URL address for the Georgia Parent Survey is posted below.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the surveys, please feel free to contact Brad Langford.

CTAE Matters
During February, schools across Georgia celebrate career, technical, and agricultural education (CTAE).
Chef Nicholas Thiers
Chef Nicholas Thiers joined the LFO CTAE Team in January after Chef Rush retired. He wrote his first recipe in second grade, got his driver's license and a job in a kitchen on the same day, and has spent his life working up through the ranks as a professional chef. With a degree from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Chef Thiers has over a decade of experience as an executive chef, manager, instructor, sous chef, sales rep, and leader in his field. With many awards and certifications, he offers our students a background, experience, and opportunities in a lot of areas in the culinary industry. Welcome, Chef Thiers!
Mr. Rick Cash
Rick Cash is one of the most respected drafting and engineering teachers in the state of Georgia. With countless students placing in regional, state, and national competitions, perhaps his most impressive statistic is the number of successful students he has inspired and prepared for meaningful engineering and architectural careers in his 35 years of teaching at LFO. Last semester, his students had a 100% pass rate on their end of pathway assessments with one scoring high enough to earn college credit. Thank you, Mr. Cash. We are so thankful for your dedication and commitment to your students, school, and community.
Mr. Bo Campbell
Bo Campbell is our work-based learning coordinator and has been in CTAE for 22 years, serving 16 of those at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School. In his tenure, he has taught various CTAE courses including Business Law, Economics, Financial Peace, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Senior Project, and Work Based Learning. In addition to his role as a teacher, he has also coached football, basketball, baseball, soccer, and track and field. Perhaps his most significant role throughout his career has been serving as a mentor for countless students and sharing a prominent part in their successes, both in high school and beyond. Thanks, Coach, for making a difference.

Safety is a Priority
Catoosa County Public Schools wants our community to know that the safety of our students is our top priority. To maintain a safe environment, we encourage all students to follow the important guideline: "If you see or hear something, say something."
Saying something can make a big difference! You can talk to a trusted adult, teacher, school counselor, or principal. Additionally, if you need to reach out, you can start a text by sending "HELLO" to 741-741. Remember, your safety matters, and together, we can help keep our schools safe and secure.
