Welcome to the BHS Express
A newsletter keeping you informed about Batavia High School
Hello Bulldog Families.
Well, our return from Winter Break certainly took all of us by surprise! We appreciate your patience as we are getting our high school students back into their new schedules and routines. Our shortened day on Wednesday was a good start. Our custodians and district maintenance crew also did a fantastic job getting a lot of snow moved in a short amount of time.
Our guidance department will be working throughout next week to check schedules and make adjustments if needed. Typically, there are fewer schedule adjustments for the second semester as these courses were chosen during course registration last spring.
Check out some of the fun snow day photos that were provided to us by our own BHS staff members and students. It looks like some of these days were filled with a lot of activity with family, friends and pets!
We hope you have a safe weekend and help us by reminding our high school students that it’s “cool” to wear coats again!
In service to our Bulldogs.

The FAFSA is available now!!!!
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for students entering or attending college for the 2025-26 academic year is up and running! Any student that is thinking about attending any type of education/training after high school should complete the FAFSA - technical school, trade school, community college, public university, or private university. The FAFSA is what determines your eligibility for student loans, grants, work-study, and scholarships - thus, it is VERY important that you complete and submit it. Keep in mind, all students are at least eligible for student loans! We will continue to share information and helpful resources with you and your family as we receive it!
The Ohio Department of Higher Education would like to share that the U.S. Department of Education has announced that the 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available for all families to complete. Families who want to start filling out the FAFSA now can start the process at studentaid.gov.
For additional assistance with FAFSA completion, please visit itsforyou.org, and look under the “Looking for FAFSA Help?” section for more information
