If your NFHS student missed school pictures, the Make-up date is Monday October 7th.

Students should go to the athletics conference room across from the main office during their study hall period to have their picture taken. The photographer will be available from 7:45am through the end of the school day.

On October 1, students from the Class of 2025 and 2026 traveled to the Southern Connecticut College and Career Fair, accompanied by NFHS School Counseling Team members Mrs. Dighton and Mrs. Laughlin. The event, which hosted over 200 representatives from colleges, military branches, and various career sectors, provided students with a unique opportunity to explore various post-secondary options. Students engaged directly with admissions officers, program directors, and industry professionals, gathering valuable information about academic programs, career training, admission requirements, financial aid, and the numerous pathways available to them beyond NFHS.

An important part of the partnership between parents/guardians and NFHS is the PTO!

The PTO sponsors scholarships, student assistance efforts, sponsors creative projects by our teachers, and helps keep our staff well-supported (and well-fed!) throughout the year.

Imagine what we could do if EVERY NFHS family joined the PTO! Annual membership is only $20 per family.

Students are invited to get moving in the Wellness Center after school!

Join Mrs. Scappaticci in the Wellness Center on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2:15-3:45. This is a great way to stay active and get into or stay in shape.

Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples Day

Our 10th and 11th grade students will sit for the PSATs on October 24th. There will be a special schedule for all students. More info to come!

You will be able to schedule appointments on Zoom to speak with your child's teachers on October 24 and/or 25th. Afternoon/evening conferences will be on Thursday 10/24, and morning conferences will be on Friday 10/25. More information to come!
