Mission Statement: Bryan High School, in partnership with students, families, and the community, provides a student-centered learning environment that cultivates character, fosters academic excellence, and embraces diversity to prepare students for post-secondary opportunity and career readiness.
Bryan High Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Bryan High—the heart of Bear Country!
We are Resilient. Our updated cell phone expectations are already proving successful in our classrooms. Teachers are pleased to report that students are adhering to these expectations, resulting in heightened engagement levels with 90% of teachers observing improvements in classroom participation.
We are Compassionate. Recently, Bryan JROTC cadets and National Honor Society students showcased their dedication to service and leadership at Bluestem Middle School. These student leaders volunteered at a Courage Retreat, empowering younger students and fostering a sense of courage within our broader community.
We are Proud. Bryan High's sports teams have hit the ground running, with all major sports beginning their seasons. It's inspiring to see several of our teams already boasting winning records, reflecting our students' hard work and commitment on the field.
We are Inclusive. Open communication and collaboration are key values at Bryan High. Your feedback and commitment are essential to our collective success. Please continue to connect with us and reach out with any questions or thoughts you may have.
Let's make this school year an unforgettable one at Bryan High!
Go Bears!

Community Matters: A special thank you to our community partners: DLR, Union Pacific, Project Harmony, and Gifford Farms, who provided our teachers facility tours, gear, and connections for students. Working together, we can make a difference! #WeAreBryan
Attendance Matters
Did you know it takes an average of three days for students to catch up for everyone day they’re absent? Omaha Public Schools is committed to working with our families to support student attendance every day, because we know every minute counts.
Our district has updated our action plan to follow state guidelines on assisting students who miss a significant amount of class time. Our student attendance team will meet with families of students who have 20 total absences, whether those absences are excused. The team will work with the family to create a collaborative plan to improve attendance.
You can make an impact on your student’s attendance now, and we’re here to help. If anything is getting in the way of getting your student to school, please contact your school’s principal, school support liaison, school counselor or bilingual liaison for help.
