Notes from the Principal
Good Afternoon Lincoln Families!
Saturday was the Prescott Annual Christmas Parade and Lincoln School participated in a BIG way! We had a tremendous turn-out of our students, staff and families! Thank you so much to all who participated. We also want to extend a huge appreciation to our "local heroes" who represented LIncoln School on our float: Krista Carman, Scott Desjadon, Stan Goligoski, Nate Hallowell and Larry L'Heureux. Also, we are very grateful to Dave Roe for the donation of his time, truck, trailer and bales of straw to make our float possible. Lincoln School is a special place because of the tremendous family and community support we receive. Thank you!
This is the last week of our canned food drive. As of Monday, we have 1082 items. We are more than halfway there but still have until next Monday to reach our school goal of 2024 items. The first place grade level will earn a party sponsored by our Lincoln Student Council. Don't forget to bring in non-perishable food items in support of the Prescott Community.
This is the last week of after school clubs for the first semester. Clubs will not be in session next week. However, our staff is busily putting together the schedule of after school club options for 2nd semester. The packets for club sign ups will go home with students the week of January 8th, after break. Our after school clubs will begin the week of January 22, 2024.
Lincoln School's annual Courthouse Caroling is next Thursday, December 19th at 12:00pm. We are excited to have our students perform this annual event for families and our community. We can't wait to see you all there!
Thanks you for your support of Lincoln School and the Prescott Community!
With great appreciation,
Teresa Bruso

Fever of 100.4 or higher. May return to school when your child is fever-free for 24 hours without
the use of fever-reducing medications.
Vomiting- May return to school when your child has not vomited for 24 hours.
Sore throat pain with difficulty swallowing; Red and swollen tonsils, sometimes with white
patches or streaks of pus and tiny red spots on the back of the roof of the mouth.
Swollen, itchy eyes with thick discharge, crusty or redness to the whites of the eye.
Rash that’s unrelated to a chronic skin condition.
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.
Excessive mucus from the nose (runny nose) or sneezing unrelated to environmental allergies.
Persistent non-productive/productive cough- May return to school when cough is under control.
Please follow-up with your child’s doctor if symptoms persist and don't get better. Your child may
return to school when all signs/symptoms have subsided/resolved without the use of medication, or

Tutoring Options for 2024-25
Attention PUSD Families!
While we won’t be able to offer our free tutoring program this year due to the end of COVID-relief funding, we’ve got good news! The State of Arizona still offers free tutoring options to help your child succeed.
To find a tutoring provider, just visit the Authorized ATP Tutoring Providers page on the Arizona Department of Education website. There, you can connect with an approved tutor and set up sessions that fit your schedule.
