Family-Teacher Conferences
We were happy to see so many of you at our Family-Teacher Conferences. As parents/guardians, you are important partners in learning. We strongly encourage effective communication between school and home. If you were unable to make it, please contact the school to make alternate arrangements to discuss your child's progress at MCHS.
A few reminders...
Weather Delays/Closures
When school is delayed or closed due to poor road conditions or inclement weather, families will be notified via School Messenger. In addition, information will be posted on the School Status section of the NL Schools website.
Attendance
While students can be absent from class from time to time, it is important that they are attending on a regular basis. As we head into the new year and with Mid-year Assessments around the corner, we want to stress the importance of students being in class on a regular basis. Regular attendance ensures students stay engaged with course material, build strong relationships with peers and teachers, and develop essential time management and responsibility skills. Missing classes can lead to learning gaps, lower grades, and increased stress. By showing up every day, students set themselves up for success. We thank you for your support on this very important matter.
Holiday Spirit Days
Our Student Leadership group has put together some festive fun as we head in to Holiday Break. Our theme days will culminate with a variety of activities on Dec. 20th, including our annual Pancake Breakfast.
