Happy Sunday, Pride!

I hope you and your family had a wonderful and restful weekend. Before diving into re-enrollment details, I want to share an important update about our new building.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared updates specifically with our 6th–9th-grade families, but this update is for everyone. On Friday, the State Fire Marshal conducted an inspection. Unfortunately, the results were not what we had hoped. The good news is that the issue has been resolved, and we are now awaiting a reinspection scheduled for this Thursday.

The issue involved the smoke detector in the vestibule. While it was installed according to the State-approved plans at a height of 7 feet, the detector actually needed to be placed at the top of the arch, approximately 26 feet high. The adjustment has been made, and I am optimistic that I will have good news to share with you next weekend regarding the new building.

Now, about re-enrollment:
This is a reminder for all K–11th-grade families—if you’d like to secure your child(ren)’s seat(s) for the 2025–2026 school year, re-enrollment is required. On January 26, 2025, all enrolled families should have received an email with instructions to complete the re-enrollment process. This email was sent to the address we have on file.

To save your seat for the 2025–2026 school year, please complete the re-enrollment process by February 7, 2025. If you did not receive the email or have any questions, please contact Ms. Shenelle Mabey, who will be happy to assist.

What is School Choice?

School choice is the process of allowing every family to choose the K-12 educational options that best fit their children. Every child is unique, and all children learn differently. Some children might succeed at the neighborhood public school, while others might find a better fit in a public charter, public magnet, online, private, home, or nontraditional environment. That’s why educational choice is so important!
