From Food Service
Food service recently sent meal benefit notifications letters through the mail. A sharing information
form was included in this mailing.
We ask that you seriously consider completing the sharing information form. A couple of things you
should know about the sharing information form; the access to your information is very limited. For
example if your family qualifies and there is a student participating in sports. You complete the form
select yes to school administrator option the principal can provide the athletic director and/or his
assistant the information (Free or Reduced meal status) they need to waive or reduce athletic fees. If
you select Title 1 and curriculum the curriculum office with have access to information. Please note
without this completed form the food service program cannot share meal benefit status with other
departments. Please contact Nadine Lorenzen with any questions or concerns.
Parking Permits
We are now accepting applications for parking permits for Juniors. We have applications in the office. Along with the application you will need to bring in a copy of your license, registration and your payment of $50.00 made out to the Town of Lunenburg. Also, your activity fee must be paid as well. If you are paying for both activity fee and parking fee they need to be in two separate checks as they are going into separate accounts. All students parking on school campus need to have a parking permit.
Message From The Front Office
I am receiving many emails with questions regarding the high school's Annual Student Activity Fees (what is it?) and concerns regarding RevTrak payments not being reflected in PowerSchool.
I'm hoping I can clarify these questions for you.
Each year, each high school student is assessed a $55 Student Activity Fee.
This accrual of fees helps to pay for events that benefit the student body, such as guest speakers, dances etc... as outlined in the School Handbook (see attachment of p67 below)
If your student is new to Lunenburg High School, this differs from the middle school, where they paid a fee only when they joined a particular "club" .
This high school fee is not to join a club, but rather to offset costs of activities provided to the student body.
Regarding Account Balances:
Over the summer, PowerSchool released an update. We are uncertain if there is a connection to this issue but we are finding that on occasion, Student Activity Fee payments made on RevTrak are not being reflected in PowerSchool resulting in parents being incorrectly notified of an outstanding balance.
I would like to let you know that I run RevTrak payment reports once or twice per week, and I mark those payments in my own separate spreadsheet of account balances, to cross-check / verify balances. I have an accurate account of all Activity Fee payments while we try to work out why RevTrak payments are not syncing with PowerSchool.
Thank you for your patience.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
