7th grade Coding student, Jeandiel Cardona Cruz, has taken writing code to the next level! In just one month's time, he has created his own video game based on a 3-D Horror Hunt. His game is available on both the computer and Meowbit (both pictured). Congratulations, Jeandiel for the level of excellence that you have demonstrated. You have made Cypress Creek Middle School proud!

Please note that absence phone calls are an automated procedure. Please do not call CCMS to clarify attendance if your child is scheduled to test. In order to maintain test security and to allow test administrators to monitor students, the office cannot contact testing rooms. Attendance for testing times will be rectified within 24 hours of testing, if after that time, your child's attendance has not updated, please feel free to contact our office to have the attendance fixed.

This past Wednesday's football game versus Rush was washed out. The game has been reschedule for October 16th at the Cypress Creek High School stadium with a 6:30 PM kickoff time.

Starting Tuesday, students will take the the first Performance Measure (PM) of the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking. This week students will take the ELA portion, and the following week students will engage in the Mathematics exam.

Some of the days will require a reverse bell schedule implemented to accommodate testing. Please see the attached PDF below for the dates listed in which a reverse bell schedule will be utilized.

The Pasco County School District is participating in a full-scale K-12 adoption of Science instructional materials aligned to the Florida’s State Academic Standards for Science. We would like to invite you to be part of the narrowing team, which serves to review and narrow the materials submitted by publishers during the adoption process. To submit your interest for an opportunity to serve on the narrowing team, please complete this form. There is an 8-10 evening commitment for this work. A detailed list of courses to be reviewed, dates, and times of narrowing team commitments are available on the instructional materials adoption website. The deadline to submit your interest is September 20, 2024. Parents/guardians selected through the randomized screening process will be notified by October 7 via email. We appreciate your partnership in this very important work.

The use of badges will be used to enter and exit the bus will expedite the loading and unloading of buses at school and at bus stops. While students that forget their badges may use the keypad, it does slow the process of entering and exiting the bus. Any student in Pasco County Schools may now download a virtual badge to their phone, further instructions are attached below.

Specifically, secondary schools will print badges upon request by the student, including replacement badges. This means that not every secondary student will have a badge.

Based on either badges, virtual badges on phones, and/or entering of student's ID numbers, Pasco County Schools is happy to announce the return of the "Where's the Bus" feature. See the flyer and information below for more details.

It is important to complete these items. Otherwise, most incomplete consents will be viewed as permission granted by the parent or guardian.
