Last Day of School Help - Many Volunteers Needed!
On Friday, May 23, we will host our last day of school games and picnic lunch. We will be in need of many parent volunteers to help things go smoothly. Please follow the sign-up link below and see how you can help out. Please consider signing up to help in at least one way.
If you would like to volunteer for a game station, here is a document describing the games. If you’d like to run a specific game, please indicate that when you sign up. Please let Mr. Wintrone (justin.wintrone@stjohnslib.com) know if you have any questions about the games. Even if you can’t run a station, we still need people to provide supplies such as water balloons and eggs.
Thank you for considering how you can help make our last day go smoothly!
Last Piano Recital of the Year
The five graduating piano musicians shone in their final St. John recital last night.
Twenty-one students performed 47 songs and the blessing of music was abundant.
Many thanks to the musicians for their time to master their pieces and to the faculty for adapting their classroom schedules for lessons.
Teaching piano has been an honor,
Mrs. Kopczynski
Lost and Found
Please take some time to look through the lost and found. Everything leftover at the end of the school year will be washed and donated.
Hot Lunch on Friday!
We are getting ready for our third round of hot lunch this Friday. This time we are receiving food from Giordano's. Please double-check to see if you ordered lunch for your child(ren) this week (https://www.kiddoscatering.com/sjls.html). The teachers have a list of the students that ordered, so they will review that with their classrooms tomorrow. We want to avoid having any students not bring a lunch because they thought they had ordered hot lunch and then end up with nothing. Thanks for checking, and we hope everyone enjoys their meal!
5th & 6th Grade Recorder Recital
Our 5th and 6th graders have been working diligently throughout this school year to advance their recorder playing skills. Now, as this school year nears its end, we would like to showcase their talents at a short recital. All parents, family members, and friends are invited. The recital will take place in the church beginning at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13. We should be finished by around 3:45 p.m. Come join the fun! - Keith Kopczynski
8th Grade Graduation
Please join us Sunday, May 18, to hear God’s promise as we recognize and celebrate our 8th grade graduates in our 9:00 AM worship service. We praise God for guiding and blessing our graduates during their time here at St. John, and we pray that God would keep them close to him in the future.
Asher Brown, Gerwyn Catapat, Caleb Cisneros, Grace Haak, Hannah Hoover, Grace Hucker,
Jiho Kim, Joseph Parker, Colby Rockwell, Natalie Santiago, Michael Thies
Our St. John students from all grades will be singing in this service. All are invited to a brief reception and time of fellowship after the service, where you will have the opportunity to congratulate our graduates and wish them God’s blessings. We hope you can take this opportunity to show your support of our school ministry!
After the service on May 18, we will also thank Justin and Monica Wintrone for their years of service at St. John. They will be moving to Sun Prairie, WI, this summer.

Guide kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend and a loving Savior that we can always trust. He’s our True North!
