Register for Summer NGSx!
The Eastern Upper Peninsula MiSTEM Region and Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District will be hosting the Next Generation Science Exemplar (NGSx) professional learning series for STEM teachers in the Eastern Upper Peninsula.
This foundational pathway helps participants to progress beyond simply “learning about” three-dimensional learning and helps them to work with resources critical to facilitating three-dimensional learning in their own classrooms. Participants engage as learners in modeling and constructing explanations of complex phenomena just as their students will. They also learn how to use classroom tools such as productive talk and planning whole group discussions to help create a classroom culture in which all students are supported to go public with their reasoning and build on the ideas of their classmates. The NGSX workshop is open to any STEM teacher K-12.
- NGSx sessions will be held from 8:30-3:30 on August 7, 8, 14 and 15 at the Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District
- Registration and $600 stipend available to the first 16 registrants (must be a teacher in the EUP and attend all four days)
