Halo Notes
St. Louis Catholic High School - Thurs. Feb. 20, 2025
An Update from the Athletic Dept.
Change is coming to St. Louis Catholic Athletics! We are hiring a full-time Strength & Conditioning Coach to work with all our athletes to maximize their performance. With this comes a change in our daily schedule.
Male and female athletes will be divided into three sections each and be supervised daily by our Strength & Conditioning coach as well as other coaches to maximize our facilities and ensure that all our athletes are in peak physical condition for their respective sports. These classes will be earlier in the day than the current athletic PE classes, which will give our student-athletes ample recovery time before their after-school practices.
In addition to guaranteeing weight room time for all athletes, this change will give our counselors many more options in scheduling academic classes for our student-athletes. Many of the top athletic programs in the state use this model and it has worked well to make their athletes bigger, faster, and stronger.
Because this new policy guarantees that all our athletes will get their weight work and conditioning done as part of their strength and conditioning class, coaches are now free to spend all their practice time coaching their respective sports. We feel it will take our already strong athletic program to the next level.
