The halfway mark for Q2 is on November 9th, please check on your student's course progress. Please make sure you are checking grades in your parent portal account or your student's portal account.

Quarter 2/Semester 1 will end December 15.

Starting Monday, November 6th, tickets can be purchased on GoFan. Every attendee must have a ticket to enter. Student's first and last name are required and the code is the STUDENT ID. Two tickets max can be purchased under one ID number.

ATTENTION SENIOR PARENTS- The Yearbook Senior Ad Deadline has been extended until November 20, 2023. The ad must be purchased and built by this date or it will not appear in the book. There will not be a second extension. Instructions are included in the attached handout or can be purchased at herffjones.com.

Georgia Apply to Week is November 6th – November 10th.

Peachtree Ridge High School is excited to announce that our school is participating in a Georgia Apply to College (GAC) event. Our event for seniors will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

All Students are encouraged to wear college gear all week.

Events during the week include:

• College Trivia Announcements Each Morning Excluding Friday, Beginning Monday, 11/6/23 with chance to win gift card
• Monday, 11/6/23 - First Generation College Student meeting in E110
• Tuesday, 11/7/23 - College Admission Representatives Meeting from 2:30 to 3:30 pm in E110
• Wednesday, 11/8/23 - HBCU College Representatives during lunch in the Commons
• Thursday, 11/9/23 – Seniors apply to college during school day / Must pre-register via https://forms.office.com/r/xezwZRTZC4
• Friday Finale, 11/10/23 – Wear college spirit wear; Winner of guessing identify of faculty pictures revealed

Sports tickets can only be purchased via GoFan with a credit or debit card to home sporting events. To purchase a home ticket for games please click on PRHS GOFAN. Many other schools are also going touch-less for tickets as well. If they are using GoFan, those tickets will also be available under Peachtree Ridge.

The Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams are headed to the State Meet on Saturday, November 3rd. The Girls team finished 2nd in the region meet with the following runners placing: Aletta Boers in 6th, Kezia Donaldson in 7th,. Nicole Chen 9th, and Erika Wilson 10th. The Boys team finished 3rd in the region meet with Chase Toliver placing 3rd.

Peachtree Ridge Football (8-1) has qualified for the GHSA State Playoffs, which begin on November 10th. They’ve had an amazing season so far and look to continue this run into the playoffs. The location and opponent for next Friday’s (11/10) playoff game will not be determined until after this Friday night’s game with Duluth. Our Lions can finish anywhere from the #1 seed to the #4 seed, based upon the results of this week’s Region football games. There is a lot of exciting football left for the Lions this year. Please come on out and support our Lions!

PRHS Swim & DIVE Wins their First Meet against Mountain View and Grayson. Natalia Amescua, Rakel Becraft, Hannah Sakaris, McKenna Butera, and Dawson Ladd all qualified for State based on their event times.

Come out and audition for the Peachtree Ridge Winterguard! We are a competitive team that travels the Metro-Atlanta area against other high schools. We prioritize working together as a team and giving a positive experience through learning something new.

Soccer pre-season conditioning begins Tuesday, November 28th after school from 2:30-3:30pm on the stadium track (Boys & Girls). You must be cleared in Rank One to participate.

Congratulations to the following students who represented PRHS Chorus at GMEA District 13 Honor Chorus! These students were at the Classic Center in Athens on Friday and Saturday, October 20th and 21st rehearsing and performing alongside other outstanding singers from around Gwinnett.

The PRHS Robo Lions competed in a two-day tournament hosted at Riverside Military Academy in Gainsville. The team has been preparing all semester for this event and came in ready to go. They competed against the top 38 teams in Georgia and placed 3rd place overall.

Definition: Google Workspace for Education is a set of Google tools and services that are tailored for schools and homeschools to collaborate, streamline instruction, and keep learning safe. For safety, GCPS students CANNOT share or email outside of our domain. This google account drives student Chormebook applications.

Students accounts are first.last####@g.gcpsk12.org with the numbers being the last 4 digits of the student number. Student can also log in from any computer from the My eCLASS landing page.

During this in-person meeting, GCPS families will receive information about Title I, Title II, Title III, ESSER, and Family Engagement. Families will have the opportunity to provide input on how these funds are utilized to support students, staff, and schools. More information can be found using the PDF below.
