Things to Know:
WHOLE SCHOOL ASSEMBLY: NAME THAT BOBCAT
This Wednesday our 4th graders hosted a school assembly focused on introducing all the Bobcats that work in the building. Students competed against teachers to answer Name that bobcat questions. And for the second year in a row the STUDENTS beat the teachers by a half of a point (Ss: 11.5, Teachers: 11). Thanks for hosting a great show.
UPDATE REGARDING NORTH MAIN STREET CONSTRUCTION (10/29 - 11/8/24):
Please plan for this upcoming road work around the Ben Hem area. Note that this work will probably impact bus and van routes.
- #1 - Starting Tuesday 10/29, contractors will begin raising manhole castings. Work will occur within three areas (1. between Mass Pike and Wayland Town line, 2. Bacon St N Main St intersection, and 3. near the Washington Ave entrance).Traffic will be directed around crews as they move, there will NOT be a detour or road closure. Casting work will continue through 11/7.
- #2 - Paving Operations will begin Thursday 11/7 at 7:00 AM. This work will occur within the same areas (see above). All paving is scheduled to end Friday 11/8 (approx. 4 PM). There will be single lane traffic during active construction. There will be significant delays -- please attempt to avoid North Main St, if possible.
ANNUAL YEARLY FORMS
Each year we ask parents and caregivers to complete the Annual Yearly Forms via PowerSchool. These forms provide updated contact information to the school as well as important medical information. These forms are required before any student is able to attend field trips. With a few trips coming up soon, please be sure that all of this information is completed. The front office sends a PowerSchool Annual Yearly Forms reminder email each school day. We currently have a 92% completion rate. Please help us get to 100%. WE ARE ALMOST THERE! WE ARE STILL WAITING ON 31 FORMS. PLEASE CALL US IF YOU NEED HELP WITH THE FORM.
SCHOOL SNACK DRIVE:
This year we are hosting a snack drive to support families in need. Each grade level has been assigned an item to contribute if able. These snacks will help students in our community make sure they have snacks for school and weekends. Thanks for helping.
