SGB Week Ahead

A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped at St. Gregory Barbarigo School last week with the FALL BBQ and the BOOK FAIR! It was a tremendous success!

Thank you also to all the families who joined us at Mass last Friday to celebrate Sr. Margaret Flaherty's Retirement! We are so honored to have had the chance to have Sr. Margaret at our SGB and working with our students for so many years. She has dedicated her life (60+ years) to Catholic Education with the Archdiocese of New York! Thank you also to Fr. Fallon for a beautiful Mass and for former SGB Principal, Mrs. Dana Spicer, for joining the celebration.

Congratulations, Sr. Margaret on a job well done!

SGB will begin with pizza hot lunch on Friday, October 18 and also on October 25.

To order Pizza, please:

1. Complete the form attached on the SGB website.

2. Send it in with your child's payment in an envelope to the main office.

Envelope should be labeled with:

• Your child's name
• Class
• "PIZZA MONEY for 10/18 & 10/25"

Inside the envelope should be your child's form and payment.

Payment and order forms are due on 10/11.

Our annual Charleston Wrap fundraiser kicks-off on Monday! Catalogs were sent home with your student late last week. This is a fun and easy way to get some early Christmas shopping done, while raising money for SGB.

Aside from the high quality wrapping paper, there are hundreds of unique and beautiful gifts to choose from.

A portion of every sale comes right back to SGB, so please register online and share the link with family and friends!

Through our grant with NRC-DAP (North Rockland Coalition - Drug Awareness and Prevention) they will be funding some of SGB'S FAMILY FUN NIGHTS, because building relationships with your family and community helps children grow up to make better choices and gives them the strength needed to walk away or say "no" to dangerous situations.

SGB's first one will be on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25 for GRADES K-2.

We invite families to join us to build community, make new friends, and have a great time bonding with your children as we welcome back BACKYARD PE to host a night filled with awesome games for everyone!

• Once the classroom teacher has had an opportunity to address your question or concern, if it's still unresolved please contact SGB's Principal, Ms. Clarke, through email (noreen.clarke@stgregorybarbarigoschool.org) or call the main office at 845-947-1330 for further assistance.
• If you should require additional assistance with any concerns related to our school after meeting with Ms. Clarke, please contact Mrs. Cathleen Cassel, our Regional Superintendent for the Archdiocese of New York at (845) 831-3073.

2. CHANGES in DISMISSAL or ABSENCES

• Please complete the online form to notify the SGB Staff of any changes in your child's dismissal or if your child will be absent. Any child who is absent for 3 or more days must have a note from a doctor upon return. Thank you!

3. PARKING

• Please avoid parking in the teachers' parking lot. There is available parking in the church parking lot if you should arrive early. Please wait there until your child's drop off time.

4. VISITING SGB & NEW SIGN IN

• In an effort to keep our school safe and know when guests are in the building at all times, ALL adults will sign in when they enter.
