Principal's Message
Dear, Ericson Elementary Families,
We’ve had some rainy days recently, and we want to thank our students for being so flexible as we adapted to indoor recess! Thanks to the generosity of our FOE and school site budget, we have been able to provide indoor games, cards, and coloring books for students to enjoy during these indoor times. If any families would like to donate additional new and unopened games, cards, or coloring books, we welcome your contributions! You can drop off these items in the main office. We’re always looking for fun activities to engage our students, especially in our library area.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the rest of the week, and we’d like to remind everyone that there is a four-day weekend coming up. Enjoy the four day weekend!
Also, a heartfelt thank you to all of our families for supporting the ELPAC testing by ensuring your children are present at school. As we prepare for statewide testing beginning in April, please make sure to plan accordingly for any family activities. Testing for grades 3 through 5 will be taking place April 28th - May 16th. Your support in ensuring students are present during this time is greatly appreciated.

Counselor's Update
Hello Ericson Families,
This week during our counseling lessons Kindergarten students talked about managing disappointment and read "The Smart Cookie". 1st graders did not have a lesson because Mr. Z was on the field trip to balboa park. 2nd and 3rd graders learned about taking responsibility for their actions. 4th graders received a presentation from our ally action club on how to stop bullying at Ericson. Lastly, 5th graders read "Something Might Happen" and did a worksheet on challenging anxious thoughts.
