Celebrate Freedom Week

Pursuant to Act 682 of 2003 and Ark. Code Ann. § 6-16-101, Arkansas public schools must observe Celebrate Freedom Week during the last full week of classes in September. This law was created to educate students about the sacrifices made for freedom and the values on which this country was founded. During Celebrate Freedom Week, all social studies classes shall include instruction to help students focus on the freedoms offered in the United States of America. Suggested topics of study are included in the text of Act 682, but the curriculum is left up to individual school districts.

E-Sports Fundraiser

The students who are involved with MHS E-Sports are having a popcorn fundraiser through the Fort Smith Popcorn Company. They will make $7.00 from each bag sold. The proceeds will go toward E-Sports Tournament Fees for each player.


Mr. Manus, MHS Science teacher is the adviser. You can contact him or one of the students listed below to place an order. Please pay when you order, if possible.

The Mountainburg Board of Education meets once a month unless a special meeting is needed. A study session will be held at 5:15 and the business session will be at 6:00 PM. Meetings are held downstairs in the Mountainburg Administration Building.
