Weekly Announcements
Student Progress:
We are entering the eighth week of quarter 3/semester 2. There are only 9 days left in Q3. Please take a few minutes and review your students’ progress. Report cards will be available on March 31st. If you would like to schedule a parent/teacher conference, contact Ms. Collige at 352-524-5539. Remember we have free tutoring on Monday’s and Wednesday’s. See the flyer in the newsletter for more information.
Attendance/Tardies:
Parents and Guardians, we really need your support with communicating with your students the importance of coming to school daily and getting to class on time. I encourage you to check your parent portal and look at your students’ attendance at least weekly. Please make sure you are aware that the school day begins at 7:15am.
Student Parking:
Student drivers, now that everyone is back parking in the stadium lot it is imperative that you park in your designated area, an open or reserved spot. Parking permits are required and strictly enforced. You may have received a warning last week but this week we will once again start booting vehicles who are parked in the wrong parking lot (students are not to park in the front of the school), wrong spots, or do not have a visible parking permit.
Pasco Students Speak:
Students, it's that time of year for Pasco Students Speak. This year's topic is "rights and responsibilities." Please ask your English teacher for more information. The competition to select Pasco High's representative to the District Showcase will be held on Wednesday, March 12th, in 4-201.
Seniors:
You received an important end-of-the-year letter earlier in the week. It is important to read the letter and take note of the important dates and deadlines. There is a link to the letter below in the Senior section. Reach out if you have any questions.
Juniors:
The junior class is excited to announce our 2025 Prom Ticket Design Contest. This year's prom theme is " A Night in Greece." Please submit your designs to Ms. Wenrich by March 7th via email. See the flyer below for more details.
11th and 12th Grade Testing Announcement:
Juniors and Seniors who have not passed their testing graduation requirements, you've received a letter home and a MyStudent communications notification about the upcoming school day ACT, with triple time. Please review this opportunity and make your payment by the deadline of March 4th if you'd like to take advantage of this opportunity.
No School:
There will be no school on Friday, March 14th for a teacher planning day. Spring Break is Monday, March 17th -Friday, March 21st.
Parent Volunteers:
If you are interested in being a volunteer for PHS, please make sure you have visited the Pasco County Schools website and complete the volunteer application.
PTSA:
Pasco High School has a very active PTSA. We would like to invite all parents that would like to be a part of this phenomenal group to the next meeting on March 25th @ 6:00pm in the front office.
Student Emergency Cards:
We are asking ALL parents/guardians to log into your Parent Portal to complete your students EMERGENCY CARD. This allows us to be aware of any health conditions and medications for your student in the event of an emergency. If they do not have any conditions or medications, we still request that you log in and put N/A in the appropriate fields. In addition, your school Nurse is requesting you to help us provide the best care for your student by completing your Parental consents under HEALTH SERVICES CONSENTS so if your child is ill or injured we can provide care as needed. If it is incomplete, our clinic staff is unable to provide any treatment or care for minor issues. We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. We look forward to providing the best care for your student this school year.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, it is very important to make sure your contact information is always current and accurate. The school needs to be able to communicate with you regarding any changes or emergencies. Please review the step-by-step instructions below on how to access and fill out the emergency forms.
Teachers Out of Field
Florida Statutes require that we report to parents any teacher who is teaching a subject(s) outside his/her certification area. The following teachers are in the process of taking the required course work to earn their certification: Virginia Kirk, Brian, Singleton, and Madison Vogel
English and Reading teachers who teach students that qualify as English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) are required to take 300 hours of additional course work beyond their teaching degree to earn an ESOL Endorsement to their teaching certificate. The following teachers are in the process of taking the required course work to earn their ESOL Endorsement: Samson Crazy Horse Clark, Charles Greener, and Mark Valdez
All of our out-of-field professional educators are dedicated to helping students succeed in their learning!
NOTIFICATION OF INSPECTION FOR ASBESTOS CONTAINING MATERIALS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
The Environmental Protection Agency has issued a final rule, 40 CFR Part 763 Subpart E, Asbestos Containing Material in Schools. This rule requires all Local Education Agencies to identify asbestos containing materials in their school buildings and to take appropriate actions to control the release of asbestos fibers.
An Asbestos Management Plan for Pasco High has been completed and describes the results of the inspection, if applicable, and the action plan to control any asbestos found during the inspection. A copy of this plan is located in the administrative office of this school and at the Pasco County Schools Maintenance & Facility Services Department and is available for review upon request.
