Dear Monomoy Middle School Families,
This week marks the midpoint of Trimester 1 which means progress notes will be available this Friday! While we provide paper copies at the end of each trimester, you will find progress notes posted through Aspen. Progress notes are a great opportunity to check in with your student and their teachers about any concerns, or questions around grades. We encourage all families to stay engaged with their student's progress, and we hope you can join us next week for teacher conferences to discuss ways to support continued success. You can find more information and the link to sign up for conferences on our website.
In partnership,
Abby Dudley
Principal
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Leadership Applications are out! Students interested in joining MRMS Leadership can see Ms. Botsford, Ms. Looney, and Ms. Lower for an application. This is an amazing opportunity to get involved in our school.
Athletics Survey: If you haven't already done so, click here to take the survey as we seek to improve our MRMS athletics program. This survey will close October 7, 2024.
7th Grade Success Lunch: Thank you to students and staff for helping roll out of first week of Success Lunch. As we move into the second week of this program, we have already been able to see the impact on students' grades and are hopeful that this added support continues to keep students feeling up to date and motivated.
Unity Day is Coming (10/16): Thanks to Ms. Buckley, Ms. Rice, and our Shells Buddies seminar for organizing our Unity Day celebration on October 16th. On this day, we wear orange to promote a common message of treating each other with respect, understanding, and kindness. Students will learn about and prepare for Unity Day during Anchor Block this Monday.
MRMS Ambassadors Program: We are seeking additional members of our MRMS Ambassadors program. This is a small group of students, who represent different perspectives at MRMS to better understand the experience of students in our school with a focus on inclusion and belonging. This program has space for only 12 new members in the 6th and 7th grade, so there is an involved application process. Interested students should check their email this week for more information.
