Wednesday, September 18 is Early Release Day for students. Car riders and walkers will dismiss at 12:15 and bus riders at 12:30pm. If you are picking up your child in the car rider line, you must sign up by Monday. Without a car tag, you will have to check your child out from the front office with your ID. Please complete this form if you need a car rider tag. https://forms.office.com/r/WQXV0KxknW
Smile, it's Picture Day on Friday, September 20.
Our Hunger Hero Food Drive is underway and ends Friday, September 20. Please help us collect non-perishable foods to support our CHEW program. The class that brings in the most items will win a popsicle party.
Parents and guardians please vote for our School Improvement Team parent members. These are parents that will be attending monthly meetings and assisting with our improvement plan for the 24-25 school year. bit.ly/sses24-25sitvote
Your child should have received a SchoolStore envelop. After receiving the information regarding the SchoolStore, you will go to www.schoolstore.net to get signed up. Your child will receive a book buddy just for participating. This is a way for our school to raise money and help teachers get classroom supplies they need.
We love volunteers! We will have another volunteer training on Monday, September 16 at 8:30am, 12:00pm and 3:45pm. You must attend a volunteer training yearly and get fingerprinted at the district office every five years. You do not have to sign up to attend, but we ask that you sign in at the front office. Trainings will last approximately 30 minutes. You will also learn how to get involved with the Parent Teacher Organization.
If you have not signed onto Class Dojo, please do so soon! Your child's teacher has already sent the link to join. This is another way we communicate information.
Contact our data manager, Jennifer Fountain to sign up for Parent Portal. This gives you access to up to date information on student attendance for your child and third through fifth grade assignments. https://onslow.powerschool.com/public/

SaySomething App
We would like to remind our families about the Say Something reporting platform.
Say Something provides students and adults a secure, anonymous reporting platform for concerns related to violence, suicide, bullying, self-harm and other forms of threatening behavior. Tips are received by trained personnel, who will notify the proper authorities, whether they be school administrators or law enforcement.
The platform is easily accessible via the 1:1 tools on student devices. Tips can also be submitted via phone, on the Say Something website, or through the Say Something mobile app.
School safety is a community effort, and we thank our students, staff, and families for their support as we work together to keep one another safe. Remember, if you see something, please say something.
